Drum up your Tuesday

Looking for something invigorating to do on a Tuesday?

The Stellenbosch University Museum is opening its doors to anyone interested to play the African drum once a month.

You will be taught by Vuyo Mgijima, an experienced African drummer from Kayamandi, has been sharing his passion of drumming with both locals and international tourists for the past 18 years.

According to Vuyo, playing the African drum is highly relaxing and therapeutic, relieving stress and nurturing creativity. It is also very good for increasing performance in the workplace and building team spirit and social cohesion.

The sessions are only an hour and take place between 1pm and 2pm. There is no cost. Here are the dates for this year:

  • 12 April
  • 17 May
  • 14 June
  • 12 July
  • 16 August
  • 13 September
  • 25 October
