The City of Cape Town in collaboration with Loudhailer and Silicon Cape invites all entrepreneurs operating in the fields of gaming, animation, streaming, virtual reality, and digital services to attend a free, online business development workshop followed by one-on-one virtual consultations, to learn how to optimise your business for financial growth and sustainability.
Date: Thursday, 5 May 2022
Time: 11:30 – 13:00
Led by business advisory experts, Ariston Grow – the masterclass will provide attendees with access to free professional business development services, where they will learn best-practice for SMEs operating in screen-related sectors.
Amongst other things, attendees will receive guidance on how to:
- Properly structure their business for tax and employment benefits
- Better manage their finances for reduced expenses
- Navigate current regulations and identify efficient structures
- Better manage employees/freelancers to meet business objectives
In addition to the masterclass, Ariston Grow will be providing qualifying attendees, access to an hour of free, one-on-one virtual business consultations. During these sessions, attendees will be able to discuss their specific operational challenges and workshop tailored solutions to them.
Research conducted during the first year of the ScreenTech project found that businesses in screen-related sectors are mostly owner-managed – and while these entrepreneurs are experts in their technical field, they often lack the resources and acumen needed to enhance their operations and achieve financial sustainability amid the current economic climate.
